Are you having trouble finishing your book?

  • Have you set goals but not met them?
  • Are you revising the same chapters over and over instead of writing the next one?
  • Do you get discouraged, start second-guessing yourself?
  • Every time you think you’re back on track, does life get in the way?

I’ve been there. But I’m not there still, thanks at least in part to working with a coach.

One of the benefits of coaching is providing accountability for writers who need it. But not every writer needs it—or wants it. Some people just need support, someone to brainstorm with, someone whose feedback can help drown out the negative self-talk in their head. Even the best writers are plagued by doubts and perfectionism and fear of failure sometimes.

Read my posts on the Four Tendencies Framework and book coaching framework can help writers better understand what’s keeping them stuck, and how a book coach can best help them get unstuck. You don’t have to take the quiz and find out your tendency (and if you’re a Rebel you’re probably already saying you’re not going to), but you may find it helpful. I did.
